Santa Venera is a town in the Northern Harbour District of Malta, in the central conurbation between Ħamrun, Birkirkara and Qormi. It is known for the surviving arches of the Wignacourt Aqueduct, a 17th-century waterworks built by the Order of St John.

History of Santa Venera
The Wignacourt Aqueduct was built in the early 17th century under Grand Master Alof de Wignacourt to carry water from the Rabat/Dingli area to Valletta; sections of its arched structure survive in and around Santa Venera. The town grew around this corridor and later expanded as part of the central conurbation. The historic Casa Leoni, a 17th-century villa with gardens, is also associated with the area.
